For a wine to bear the name Champagne, it most have been produced from grapes that are grown in a particular area of northern France, around the valley of the River Marne and the towns of Reimes, Epernay and Ay.

Champagne must be served nicely chilled if it is too cold, it will lose its taste, if it is too warm it will lose its sparkle.
